Many of us recognize the value of expressing gratitude to others, but how do we do it? More importantly, how do we express gratitude to others in ways that are meaningful, impactful, and sincere? One of the best ways to do so is to write a gratitude note or letter to someone. Drawing from the science of gratitude, Dr. Joel Wong will offer recommendations on who to write to as well as 8 practical tips on what to include in a gratitude letter or note. Dr. Wong will also share examples of gratitude letters he and others have written.
Dr. Joel Wong is a Professor of Counseling Psychology at Indiana University’s School of Education and conducts research on the science of gratitude interventions and practices. Dr. Wong is Chair of the Positive Psychology Section in the Society of Counseling Psychology.
